Sleep

Too sleepy to post something worthwhile.  Therefore, I shall make up for it tomorrow.  Night!

Needing to work out more

Gina's wedding is coming up in a couple of months and the reality of the situation has really hit home.  I've been working out often, but not as often as I should.  I got a message from my parents that they bought the fabrics to make for Gina's wedding and Michelle and mine's bridesmaid ao dais.  Eeeeek!  And they're going to be home in a couple of weeks so I need to work out even more so I can look good in it.  Wish me lots of luck! =D

Working...

I've been working at my mom's store since my parents are on another trip to Vietnam.  Work was tiring because I had to do inventory today as well.  After getting home though, I enjoyed a relaxing evening of playing Sims 3 with Bryan and we recreated ourselves in game.  Right now we're trying to play the game without any money cheats so we'll see how it goes.  And now, I'm really tired and off to bed.  Good night!

Watson's Anniversary!

So it has been one year since we adopted our adorable half shiba inu/cardigan corgi mix, Watson.  Gina had found him on petfinder.com and showed him to me; I pretty much fell in love with him at first sight.  After a long 12 hour drive to Chicago, Bryan and I adopted him.  Also, after some unnecessary complications, we finally brought him home to be introduced to my family.  Since then, we've learned a lot about Watson; he's incredibly protective of the people he has met, spends part of his time guarding the doors, and knew fifteen tricks when we got him at the shelter.  The rest of the time he's either sleeping, playing tug with us, or eating some delicious treat we've given him.  My family has also fallen in love with him, particularly my mom who makes him do a whole gambit of tricks before giving him a ridiculous amount of treats.  My dad has even started to teach Watson some Vietnamese commands and Bryan and I are still teaching him even more.  After some obedience classes, he's learned to relax a little bit but is still a fairly paranoid.  He barks at shadows, tries to show he's the alpha dog to other dogs by barking at them, and is a complete people mooch.  In the end though, when I wake up in the morning and find him curled up at my feet, I couldn't be happier about bringing him into my family.

Lots of Great Family Time

This weekend was spent spending lots of time with my sisters and their significant others.  Yesterday, we had gone out to eat at Milagro's and then enjoyed watching Zombieland.  It's actually one of my favorite movies particularly because of an amazing cameo in it.  In case you haven't seen it, I'm not going to spoil it for you. ;)

Today, we met up again today as well as our friend Sam and we went to the Thunder game against the Toronto Raptors.  Even though we lost, it was a great game, company, and fun.  Afterwards, we went to Republic Gastropub and enjoyed some delicious beers and burgers.  I got the Belle Isle Burger and a Young's Chocolate Stout Ice Cream Beer Float; I highly recommend the combo.  It was so delicious and definitely worth going back to just get it again.  Now I just hope for more nights like these =D.

My First Post!

So this is my very first in hopefully many posts on my new blog.  I actually meant to start this back in January, but I got busy (and honestly too lazy) to really commit myself to it.  Well, now I'm sitting in front of my laptop designing the background, figuring out coloring schemes, and trying to figure out how I want it to look.  I'm going to try and post as often as possible; hopefully by writing my thoughts down, I'll manage to accomplish everything I wanted.  For now though, I'll keep working on the look of the blog and you can check back later to see what's going on.  =D
